These terms of use govern access to Hermès. Browsing the site means you accept them.

1. Purpose

The site presents Hermès, a project by the publisher: what it does, how to use it and how to get it.

2. Access

The site is free and requires no account. Connection costs are yours. The publisher may interrupt the site for maintenance, updates or any other reason, without notice or compensation.

3. Use of the content

• You may read, print and quote the content for personal use.
• Any other reproduction of the site, its texts, logos or illustrations requires the publisher's written consent.
• If the project is open source, its code is governed by the licence in its repository, which prevails over these terms.

4. Liability

The content is written with care but provided "as is". It may contain mistakes or describe a different version from the one you use. The publisher cannot be held liable for damage resulting from the use of the published information.

The software or service presented has its own terms or licence, which prevail over these terms for its use.

5. External links

The site links to third-party sites (GitHub, Discord, documentation…). The publisher has no control over their content or privacy policy.

6. Changes

These terms may change. The online version, dated at the top of the page, applies.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. In case of dispute, after an attempt at amicable resolution, the French courts have jurisdiction.

Using the Hermès bot

The service

Hermès is a Discord bot and a web panel (hermes.salks.me) designed and published by Salks. It offers order taking, project tracking, member verification, automoderation, welcome messages, social feeds and mini-games. The service is free.

Use

• You are responsible for how Hermès is configured on the servers you manage and for the content you publish there (texts, forms, linked images).
• You agree not to use Hermès for illegal activities, harassment, spam or any infringement of others’ rights.
• You must not try to disrupt the service, bypass its limits or access data that is not yours.
• Business relations between you and your clients (quotes, payment, delivery) are between you: Hermès is an organisation tool, not a party to the contract.

Availability

Hermès is provided “as is”, with no guarantee of continuous availability. Outages may happen, for maintenance or for reasons beyond my control (Discord or host outage…).

Suspension

Hermès may be disabled on a server, or removed from it, if these terms are not respected or in case of abuse. When it is removed, that server’s data is erased.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the publisher cannot be held liable for indirect damage linked to the use of the service, including loss of data, clients or revenue. Always keep a copy of your important information.

Donations

Donations are voluntary and give nothing in return. They unlock no extra feature and are not refundable, except in case of obvious error.
